The Pit at Love Road

THE PIT HAS CHANGED
from this

to this:Pit Pitch
and this:

A new mini-football area is on The Pit. The Yard Project and Ashley School students built the project, and funding came from Youth Opportunity Fund and Capital Fund. Well done to all concerned.

What's 'The Pit'?

The Pit is a piece of waste land off Love Road, Lowestoft. It used to be a sand pit (hence its unofficial name), presumably used as a source of sand for builders. Then it was a landfill site. Then it became a play park, which was burnt down.
